Nelson, better known around the Island Supply team as Nelly, is the newest member of our sales team, bringing more than 25 years of hands-on experience as a professional chef as well as being our own in-house “Rational Certified Chef”. Nelson’s always happy to chat about food and stop in on client visits to see how he can help in any capacity.

Having spent decades working in commercial kitchens as well as designing equipment line ups, Nelson understands the challenges Chefs and foodservice operators face on a daily basis. His extensive knowledge of food and supplies, combined with his real-world experience using various equipment , allows him to offer practical advice and suggestions based on what works in the kitchen, not just on paper. Whether you’re planning a new kitchen, replacing equipment , looking for the right tools to improve efficiency or planning display items for a banquet room, Nelly enjoys helping customers evaluate their options and finding solutions to best fit their operation. He believes the best recommendations come from real kitchen
experience.

When Nelly isn’t at work he loves spending time with his family. Raising a pair of young, energetic twins keep him on his toes and makes life outside of the kitchen just as rewarding as when he was in it.
